ABOUT US

Zimbabwe Summer Camps (ZIMSUCA) is a registered organization based in Zimbabwe, committed to nurturing and empowering the whole child. While our core mission is to support orphans and underprivileged children, we go beyond charity—we are a transformation agency working to create long-lasting impact.

ZIMSUCA provides children and young people (ages 0–35) with opportunities to build pro-social friendships, develop strong interpersonal skills, and rediscover hope in a nation facing economic challenges. Through dialogue, skills development, healthy behavior training, and international collaboration, we aim to equip Zimbabwe’s youth for a brighter future.

We also welcome mission teams who are eager to make a difference, bringing knowledge, compassion, and partnership to help us shape the next generation while immersing themselves in Zimbabwean culture

Our Work

Chinhoyi Porridge Program

During the COVID-19 lockdown, we partnered with The Salvation Army Citadel Chinhoyi to feed hundreds of children and elderly residents through our porridge program. This vital initiative provided sustenance and hope when it was needed most.

Good Shepherd Children’s Home

We regularly support 48 children at the Good Shepherd Children’s Home in Chikonohono Township, Chinhoyi. Our support includes food, clothing, school fees, and essential supplies. In Zvimba, we continue to sponsor both primary and high school students, thanks to our faithful donors who help turn our dreams into reality.

Chivhere and Mareverwa communal lands tuition and uniforms sponsorship for orphaned children.

Camps

Our new initiative—The Watch Village Camp Site—is more than a campsite; it’s a Youth Transformation Center. This project creates jobs for local builders, landscapers, thatchers, and transporters while serving as a dynamic hub for youth development and cultural exchange.

Together with trusted partners like To Love a Child Zimbabwe, we offer workshops, camps, and programs designed to steer youth away from substance abuse and crime—and toward purpose, faith, and creativity.

We invite Zimbabwean youth and international mission teams to engage in mutual learning and transformation. This is where the world meets

Our Work

Health Outreach

Since 2020, our Annual Dental and Optical Clinics have provided free services to hundreds in Zvimba, Chivhere, and Mareverwa. These life-changing initiatives continue to grow and serve the most vulnerable.

Mission Trips & Camps

Our camps primarily run during the summer seasons in both Zimbabwe and the U.S. We welcome mission teams—business leaders, entrepreneurs, artists, teachers, counselors—who seek to inspire and equip young people with practical life tools.

Since 2018, we have continued to host U.S. mission teams who engaged in outreach and explored Zimbabwe’s natural wonders, including Chinhoyi Caves, Victoria Falls, Chobe Water and land Safari (Botswana), etc.

At our camps:

  • Visitors share their skills and learn from local youth.
  • Youths showcase their talents, breaking stereotypes and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
  • Teams participate in community outreach, working with orphans, schools, and shelters.
