ABOUT US
Zimbabwe Summer Camps and To Love a Child, Zimbabwe are two registered trusts in Zimbabwe coming together to cater to the whole child. We aim to help orphans, the less privileged children/youths and empower them. We are not just a charity but an agency that will provide young people of Zimbabwe between the ages of 0-35 an opportunity to have pro-social friendships and strong interpersonal skills and reassert a sense of hope for the future in a country that has a complex economic state.
Zimsuca and TLC Zimbabwe seek to empower youth through dialogue, healthy living, and behavioral training habits and help collaborate with young people worldwide. We want to open our arms to mission teams and delegates wishing to explore Zimbabwean culture, make a positive difference in people’s lives, and share ideas
Our Work
Zimbabwe Summer Camps and To Love a Child Zimbabwe worksto enhance young people’s development through programs, workshops, and camps. We seek to inspire Zimbabwe’s children and youths by encouraging them to use their God-given gifts and talents and avoid substance abuse or violence. We want local youths to engage the global village through mission and culture trips.
Our work with orphanages connects children with Zimbabwean culture, heritage, and history. The Watch Village {Youth Transformation Center} is a tourist resort transforming people through visits to the center, learning the rich history of Zvimba, Chinhoyi Caves, and other Zimbabwean alternatives like World famous holiday resort Victoria falls. Our workshops also address all kinds of challenges youths face today.
Camps
Business people, Entrepreneurs, Motivational Speakers, Artists, Teachers, counselors, and international guests come to empower young people. The purpose is to inspire, empower, and give the youths practical tools and skills.
International Mission teams showcase their skills and talents to the locals while the local youth do the same to demystify the stereotypical thinking many westerners have. Local children and visiting Mission teams will work with orphans, homes, and shelters.
Since 2019 have annually hosted mission teams from the USA. This year 2023 project is a dental clinic led by doctors from Michigan, USA. All mission Trips end with visits to Chinhoyi Caves, Victoria falls, Botswana’s Chobe National Park, Namibia, etc.
